But you could also take a slightly different tack and travel to the region for a wedding-related event that draws people from far and wide. For example, plans are well underway for the 13th Annual Fall Bridal Spectacular. Of course, to give brides and families plenty of time for details, the “fall’ event will be held on July 25, 2010 at the Truman Hotel and Conference Center in Jefferson City, Missouri. Exhibits from dozens of vendors will be open to the public from noon to 4 p.m.

One of the best ways to find the locations you need for Lake of the Ozarks weddings is to take part in the annual Bridal Stroll. The 2010 event is set for March 21 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shuttle-bus transportation takes one individual and two guests to the best wedding and reception sites. This one-day event allows you to meet experts in all areas of the wedding business. Participants also get to sample foods and wines from many of the area vendors and suppliers. The event concludes with a lake cruise.

There is yet another great source for information on Lake of the Ozarks weddings – the Lake Ozark Wedding Professionals Association. Many of the vendors, venue managers and suppliers that participate in the bridal stroll are members of this group. In the past, this group has reached out to hundreds of brides, grooms and families, marketing the features of the lake area and helping families make the wedding a perfect occasion.
