If you do decide to charter your own boat, make sure you designate a driver who agrees not to drink for the duration of the trip to avoid being picked up on a "Boating While Intoxicated" charge. A BWI is a serious offense and extremely costly, so definitely one to avoid. During holiday weekends, the Missouri Boat Patrol has an increased presence in the Party Cove area and operates a zero tolerance for illegal activities.
