Lake of the Ozarks always has something fun happening, but if you are a car enthusiast, make sure you bring the family along to the Westlake Street Machine Fall Follies car show on September 12-13 at the Laurie Fairgrounds on Sunrise Beach, Laurie, MO, 65038.
This fun family event is being hosted by The Laurie-Sunrise Beach Rotary and is an annual event that takes place every year at Lake of the Ozarks, to great success. Visitors and local residents alike can come along and enjoy the spectacle of cars and trucks lined up for the viewing public to enjoy.

Car, truck, drag boat, and motorcycle enthusiasts come from all over the Midwest to proudly exhibit their polished and motorized pride and joy, as well as admire all of the other cars and vehicles on display. There is likely to be loads of fabulous and highly polished vehicles to see. Dads and kids will be in seventh heaven at the sight of all that metal. You can expect to see hundreds of trucks, cars, drag boats and motorcycles, all of which are accompanied by a very proud owner who thinks that the world revolves around their vehicle!
And once you have walked around the showground and admired each and every car, motorbike, truck or drag boat, plus talked to the owner, you can stock up on spare parts. Expect to see a large selection of local parts vendors selling everything you might need for your vehicular pride and joy, plus a whole lot more you won’t. Naturally, there will also be a beer garden to keep the adults happy and plenty of other food and drinks available to keep the rest of the family fed and watered.
Local band, Complimentary Nuts, will be providing the live music and entertainment on Saturday night for you to dance or just listen to. This will take place on the main stage at the Laurie City Park Showground and is to be followed by a huge car cruise running through Laurie at 7pm. Kids can also enjoy the fantastic firework display that is planned for after the event.
Admission cost will be a $5 donation of which all proceeds will go to the Westlake Aquatic Center. Previous events have proved very popular and raised generous amounts of money, so make sure you head along and support this fantastic cause.
