Memorial Day Weekend
The Lake of the Ozarks 2010

It has been a long winter at Lake of the Ozarks, but finally summer is almost upon us, so why not celebrate in style by bringing the family down to the lake where there are loads of exciting things happening this Memorial weekend!
All boat owners are invited to join in with the Parade of the Lights on Saturday night. They are encouraged to decorate their boats in celebration of the Memorial weekend and both power and sail boats are welcome. The boat parade will assemble at 7:30pm at the Ozark Yacht Club in Jennings Branch Cove, at the 1 mile marker. There will also be a Memorial Day firework display on the lake, plus another firework display at Tan Tar A.
There will be further firework displays on Sunday at Camden on the Lake, overlooking Toad Cove. Live entertainment featuring Bali Root is scheduled to begin at 8 pm. Come along to the H Toad stage (formerly The Horny Toad) and dance your socks off all night long. If live music is not your thing, there is another Memorial Day Firework display taking place at The Lodge of the Four Seasons.
For a slightly different type of entertainment, Darla McFadden, a recording artist recently nominated for the Gospel Music Honor: the Dove Award, is in concert on Sunday 30th at Harper Chapel UMC, Osage Beach.
Alternatively, to celebrate the first weekend of the summer, why not go along and check out the talent at the first Miss Planet Beach Model contest of the year which is taking place at Shady Gators. Start off your summer as you mean to go on!
Big Surf Waterpark will be opening its doors again this Memorial weekend, so they hope you are ready for another season of fun in the water. Come along with the family to rediscover all the splashy rides you enjoyed last year. And if you have not been before, come along and see what you have missed out on!
A few miles further away, the town of Versailles to the north of Lake Ozark is celebrating its 175th anniversary with a Blue Grass Jam on the Friday night, plus lots of events on the Saturday, including a parade, fireworks, and a farmers market.
And last but not least, make sure you do not miss out on the Memorial Day Brunch being served from 9am—1pm on Monday 31st at Captain Rons!
