Annual Garden Walk
Lake of the Ozarks
If you thought Lake of the Ozarks focused only on fun with no attention given to the nature and the surroundings they live in, think again! The Lake of the Ozarks is home to a number of Master Gardeners who work is collaboration with various associations of the Ozarks to ensure the natural beauty of the Ozarks is well maintained.
Master Gardeners of the Ozarks are actively involved in community development projects all year round. Thanks to them, there are a large number of gardens and playgrounds at the Ozarks for people of all ages. Their efforts have been applauded by all the residents and visitors to this region. The interactive gardens that one can see at the Ozarks are hard to find in any other part of the world.
Propelled by this encouragement and overwhelming response to their efforts, the Lake Area Master Gardeners hold their Annual Garden Walk each year in the month of June. During this event, the master gardeners of the Ozarks come together to discuss the new projects that can be initiated in order to benefit the community. They chalk out an agenda that would be followed for the various community development projects all through the year.
The 4th Annual Garden Walk by the Lake Area Master Gardeners will take place on June 5th, 2010 at Eldon, Missouri. The event timings are from 9am to 2pm. The theme of the Annual Gardeners Walk this year is “Gateway to Gardening”. The Lake Area Master Gardeners will share their tips on designing a garden and ensuring its maintenance. You can also benefit from the various tips on the kinds of plants that are most suited for a home garden.
Tickets for this annual walk are priced at $10. A part of the total amount generated during this event is set aside for charitable donations. 40% of the total earnings will be given to the Medical Missions of Christ and 5% of the total earnings will be given to the Ozark Brush and Palette Scholarship Fund.
