Alhonna Resort Fall Classic Open Buddy Bass Tournament
The Lake of the Ozarks is known for its numerous contests that are held each year! Fishing is one of the premiere activities vacationers can take advantage of. The Open Buddy Bass Tournament is held at the Alhonna resorts twice a year. The Early Bird Tournament is held in March and the Classic Buddy Bass Tournament is held in October.
The Classic Buddy Bass Tournament is held in warmer weather and the lake is ripe for fishing. The Classic Open Buddy Base Tournament happens over two days. On the first day, which is often a Saturday, the fishing competition commences at 7AM and ends at 4PM. At 4PM, the anglers rush in to get their days catch weighed in at the counters. On the second day, Sunday, the event starts at 7AM and goes on till 2PM, which is the weigh-in time.
The winner and bragging rights go to the one who has the most combined pounds of fish. The cash prizes are awarded at the end of the tournament. These prices are one of the top motivations for the large participation. Participants of the tournament are eligible for discounts on their stay. The resort also offers boats rentals for anglers who don’t have their own. The participants can also enjoy the various other amenities of the resort which includes indoor heated pools and hot tubs.
