Lake of the Ozarks has plenty of nightlife to keep any visitor enthralled once the sun sets over the lake and the bars, restaurants and clubs open their doors. But whilst bars and clubs are great for a night out, we all like something different from time to time, so if comedy is your thing, you will find lots of great opportunities in Lake of the Ozarks to enjoy a good chuckle, or even a belly laugh!
The main venue for live professional comedy acts in Lake of the Ozarks is the Blue Room at the City Grill. You can find it on 5384 West Highway 54, Osage Beach. Wednesday night is comedy night and lots of well known comedians do a regular stint at the Blue Room at the City Grill every week.

The cover charge for the Comedy Night is only $10 in advance, or $12 on the door. The doors open at 8pm and the show begins at 9pm. There is a feature act followed by the headline act. Many famous and well known comedians have performed at the Blue Room and up and coming acts to look forward to include Jeff Havens, Tim Gaither, KT Tatara, and Tommy Jahnagin.
Jeff Havens show features clean and smart comedy, suitable for all ages, and later in the year he will be debuting at the Comedy Central. Tim Gaither is a well known act who has opened for Larry the Cable Guy and Lewis Black. KT Tatara is one of the most requested comedy acts on the college circuit and he’s appeared in dozens of television shows including “How I Met Your Mother” and Showtime’s “Californication”. Tommy Jahnagin was a semi finalist on NBC’s least season of Last Comic Standing and he is a Bob & Tom regular.
Whatever your taste in humor, there is bound to be something to suit, from clean family fun, right the way through to smutty adult humor you wouldn’t dare take your mother in law to!
For a double dose of comedy AND music, head on over to the Dog Days Lake of the Ozarks Bar and Restaurant because every Wednesday between 6pm and 10pm, Mac McDonald is performing a comedy and music showcase. The current show ends on Labor Day, so make sure you don’t miss out.
