Camden County Museum
Camden County Museum in Linn Creek, the Lake of Ozarks is basically a two-storey gallery constructed in 1966. It is a perfect reminder of the local practice of incarnation, and history of Camden County. The historical society of Camden County established in 1899 is fully dedicated to the collection and presentation of artifacts and documents available in the gallery. The society conducts thorough historical research, and also organizes exhibitions to serve the public visiting the place.
The museum has different rooms comprising of weaving to archives display rooms designed to suit a specific theme. The farm implements and weaving shed is set up to offer visitors a real depiction of the working style during those times. On the other hand, the full-size school house room consists of a wood stove and traditional type dunce conical cap. The room is also equipped with a blacksmith shop, the staple occupation of every local community during the ancient times.

Additionally, the gallery has a display of motorized vehicles. The presentation also includes a typical harness, hand pumper and storage place for sleighs, a routine part of Camden County winter life. Other exhibits cover clothing apparel, antique furniture, firearms, home furnishings, and banking equipment. Besides there is a service room with facilities contributed by churches, dentists, doctors, and former schools of the area.
The gallery also holds family entertainment through its Dinner theater presentations that feature young and old museum players. Likewise events like quilt show, business expos, garage sales, gold tournament, outdoor markets etc. is also held. Tourists visiting the site can purchase rugs and carpets created by Ozark weavers on 100-year old loom. The research volunteers also provide genealogy services to the visitors. It can thus be regarded that the museum is an ideal place to visit and understand the history of Camden County.
