Great Osage River Project -- Continue

The construction of the Great Osage River Project was split into three parts-the dam; the power house; and the electric lines that would be used to transmit the power generated by the dam. The awesome dimensions of this project continue to confound tourists even now, who regard it as the best engineering spectacle in Missouri.

Of the three parts, the water reservoir has garnered the maximum amount of popularity as a tourist spot. In fact, it is this very reservoir which is famously known as the Lake of the Ozarks. The scenic beauty of Lake of the Ozarks is a sight to behold, thanks to its mesmerizing natural scenery and a lovely ambiance.

It has been developed as a hotbed of tourist activities over the past few years, offering everything that you would like to see on a relaxing holiday vacation- Golfing, boating and fishing, horse riding, water skiing, shooting, picnicking, camping, and of course partying. The burgeoning tourism in the Lake of the Ozarks and its surrounding areas over the past few years has added great value to the Great Osage River Project. In addition to this, it has also adequately addressed the power-related needs of the inhabitants of these areas.
