2nd Annual Dave Mungenast Bass Tournament
October 30th, 2010
Lake of the Ozarks
Bass fishing is one of the top activities at the Lake of the Ozarks and people come from all over the country to try their hand at catching the plentiful black bass, white bass, striped bass, and of course those monster lunker bass that fight so well. And the big and small mouth bass? Well, there aren't more than a handful of places where you can catch as many, as large, or in as many places. That's one of the things that makes the Lake of the Ozarks a mecca for fishermen from all over North America. If you want to have a good fight with a fish, you know where to go.
Throughout the year, there are quite a few fishing tournaments and derbies at the Lake of the Ozarks and of course, not everyone can come to all of them. It's hard to pick from among them, but for many anglers, one of the newest tournaments, The Dave Mungenast, Sr Memorial Bass Tournament is the one to choose. It's not just because they knew Dave Sr. and respected him as a fisherman. Nor is it because this tournament offers such great cash and prizes to the winners. No, actually, it's because of those two reasons and because this tournament goes to benefit a cause that every fisherman can relate to.

2nd Annual Dave Munganast Bass Tournament -- Continue
The Dave Munganast Sr Memorial Bass Tournament is a benefit tournament and what that means is that the proceeds from it go to help a local cause. In this case, it's the KlassKids Foundation. KlassKids has been helping needy youngsters in the Lake of the Ozarks region and when you look and see those kids on the docks as you motor out to catch a monster bass, you just can't help wanting to jiggle that lure a little harder. Not only do you get to feel good about catching a winning fish, you get to feel good about helping some kids to win against long odds.
It's something that Dave, Sr would certainly feel good about and for those who knew him and benefited from his helpful advice, the great services her provided at the Dave Mungenast Marina, or his great sense of humor it just makes sense that his memorial should go to help this great cause.
This years tournament takes place on October 30, 2010. For more information or to get some great fishing advice- contact the Dave Mungenast Marina at 4815 Windjammer Road in Osage Beach. You can call them at 1-800-233-1288.
